Click here to ListenAs wordsmiths, we are true to our name – we work with words, crafting them into compelling content to help our clients shine.
We are storytellers, copywriters, editors, ghostwriters, proofreaders, scriptwriters, indexers, blog writers, tender writers and more. If it relates to the written word, then we’re all over it.
We help aspiring authors take their vision of a book from concept or manuscript to self-published, printed, professionally bound book, ready to market and sell. We love what we do and appreciate that writing is not everyone’s forte. Nor is it something many have the time or the inclination for, especially when running a business.
Let us do the heavy lifting for you, while ensuring your written content shines in a crowded marketplace, compelling your ideal customers to act. Discover how…
Our brand story began in 2005, but the passion for words was ignited much earlier…

My passion for writing began at the age of eight when I wrote and illustrated my first storybook, a children’s tale called, Harold the Field Mouse. While the story was never published, the experience of writing this tale cemented a lifelong love of reading and writing. Needless to say, English was my best subject throughout my schooling years. In fact, my favourite teacher in high school predicted I would write for a living one day.
That vision was realised during a successful ten-year corporate career in the financial services sector writing self-paced multimedia training courses, educational content and user manuals. This experience, together with additional studies, provided me with a solid foundation to embark on a full time professional writing and editing career.
In 2005 I took a leap of faith and started my own business. Today I am living the dream, helping others, no matter where in the world they are located, fulfil their vision of producing a book and working with business owners from various industry sectors to help them share their brand stories.
On larger projects, I manage a team of talented professionals, all experts in their field. They include sub-editors, proofreaders, indexers, typesetters, publishers, artists and printers, to provide clients with a concept to completion service.
Away from work you will find me at my local beach, on my yoga mat, reading, spending quality time with family and friends or ocean paddling on my stand-up paddleboard.
As a business owner, I take great pride in offering professional personalised service. When you engage A Way With Words to assist you with your writing and editing needs, rest assured you are engaging me, the owner of the business. I look forward to working with you. Don’t just take our word for it. Browse through a selection of testimonials from clients.
We can work from your written or verbal brief to write creative copy that produces your desired result. Our rule of thumb when copywriting is simple – less is more. In a world where choice is massive, information is at everyone’s fingertips and people are time poor, it’s vital to capture people’s attention quickly. If you haven’t got them at the headline, you’ve already lost them.
As the business owner, I ask the key questions, research your markets to identify their needs and wants and produce the words that will make the greatest impact and compel them to act. Importantly also, we write in your voice. After all, it’s your brand, your business, your story and your products and services we’re conveying through the written word, not ours.
